Friday Funny

Today is a perfect day - clear blue sky, warm sun - the type of day that begs you to come out and play :) A happy kind of day...

But not for Xena cat! As Sparky and I returned from our walk we could hear a dog barking and then we could see a Jack Russell pup jumping up at the base of the tree outside our house. High in the branches yowling up a storm was poor old Xena. I managed to catch the pup and phoned his owner, only to discover that young Loki lived around the corner. I took him home and locked him in the courtyard with a bowl of water - he was sad to see me go - I think he fancied some more adventure!

But back to the cat - still up the tree - still crying. I tried calling her down but she wouldn't budge. I went inside to have a think and saw out the window as she inched down to a lower fork. Unfortunately she was still too high for me to reach and we don't own a ladder. As I pondered my options the postie stopped to offer moral support :) While we chatted the cat tried to rearrange herself and fell out of the tree - luckily for her the postie was a lively lad and we caught her! She's now hiding under Angus' bed...

Enough of that! I have news. Drumroll please...

I am now a proud member of the SOUL design team :) How exciting! And SOUL has a cybercrop this weekend - I'd love you to join me -check out the challenges they're crackers :)

And now some scrapping shares:

This one was for the WP blind scrap - I love these BoBunny papers - so bright and fun (I got them from SOUL).

This one is about Angus going on his first Sport & Rec camp - five days of swimming, archery, new friends and fun! But not really any photos. I took this one when we picked him up. Got to laugh, the camp's logo is a cow :)

My girl loves to read - a passion and hobby worth celebrating!

In other news our garden has had a facelift - amazing what a bit of mulch and some rain can do. Angus was delighted with what he deemed to be the perfect Australian backyard and even took a photo. So, what makes it perfect? See those cricket stumps? And the dog chewing a bone? Those are the elements that combine to make an 11 year old's Aussie dream ;)

To celebrate we played some backyard cricket - hampered by the dog stealing the ball - we had a great time till I hit two balls over the fence and one onto the roof and Zoƫ hit two over the fence. Angus couldn't believe there were no balls left to play with - he accused us of deliberately spooning the ball - as if we even knew what that meant! We decided it was time to retire for drinks :)

TFSB!
