Hail to the bus driver

Yesterday I went on a scrap shopping extravaganza! A bus trip to three Sydney scrapping stores - it was loads of fun and I came home loaded down ;) But the big benefit of the day was the money we raised to support our local breast cancer support group - scrappers are generous to a fault - yet another reason I love them!

Here's a peek at what I got:

I haven't had a chance to scrap with any of my gorgeous loot yet but I've been admiring it at length :)

I had lovely scrappy day on Friday and created these two LOs - both for Challenge Heaven. The first one is for the theme challenge (holidays) - some shots of the beach at Newcastle - I still can't work out what all those pigeons were doing on the beach - Rob says they were on holiday too - maybe he speaks pigeon lol.


And this one was for the number challenge which was a bit of toughie this month - 5 word title, 4 pps, 3 flowers, 2 stamped images and 1 heart. That's Julie and me at the Shop and Crop Escape.


Now hold onto your hats - I made a card! A rare event but I think it turned out ok. I gave it to my friend and she seemed to like it :)


Zoë turns 14 tomorrow - Rob and I are blown away by the fact that in four and half years she might pack up and leave home - off to chase her dreams in other more glamorous locations... We decided not to think about it!

In the pink

I find rare opportunities to use loads of pink on LOs featuring recently taken pics so, when I got this photo of Zoe sporting pink pjs I was determined to give it the girlie works - what do you think? It's for Challenge Heaven song title challenge.

Here's my take on the Challenge Heaven July sketch. My journalling is behind the pic but it's about how Angus is a destroyer of shoes - hence the title :)

Scary how much Angus looks like Zoe in these photos and not because of the earring lol.

They're back!!

Yep, my chickies are home again. I missed them so much and they missed each other too but it took less than 24 hours for chaos and mayhem to show their true colours - why do they always have to have a fight at the dinner table?

I don't have a single photo of Angus at the snow - he took a camera but was waaay too busy to use it! Zoe was much the same. Luckily for me Grandma understands a scrapper's needs and sent a CD of photos home that she had snapped - she took some beauties - stay tuned ;)

WP sketches

It's quiet here, unnaturally quiet! Zoë is in New Zealand teaching the grandparents some new tricks and Angus is carving it up at snowboarding camp.

Before they left I snapped a couple of pics of each of them - just in case I forgot what they looked like lol and then I used the latest WP sketches to whip up a couple of LOs:

But please don't think I've been sitting around the house moping. Rob and I have been taking full advantage of our kid-free break! We popped up to Newcastle to spend a few days with my sister and while we were there we saw whales - sorry no pics, it was an unexpected sighting!

I also got to meet Kate the Great (hard to say which event was more exciting lol) but here is a pic of the two of us - she had a camera - clever girl :)


We're home again now and have hit the shops hard. I finally replaced my old Blackberry with a flash new HTC Legend - I'm sure I'll get touchpad texting sometime in the next decade or so... Rob purchased an amazing watch/gps/heart monitor thing that will help him train for Ironman but given how hightech it is I think it will actually compete for him as well ;)
