Show Us Your Stuff November Challenge

It's a new month and the challenge at SUYS is a cracker!

I chose laugh, butterfly, stencilling and a mini print. This is what I came up with:

Since moving house and having the luxury of a dedicated craft room, I've really enjoyed digging into my stash and using all the things I'd forgotten about while they were packed for three long months. My handmade items are the flowers and butterfly from My Vintage Blossoms. The paper, date sticker and buttons are from a Lime Tart kit I got at least two years ago and I used some ancient paint to colour my modelling paste which I used with my favourite TLC template. Still makes me sad that neither MVB or Lime Tart are around any more. But on a more positive note I rarely scrap pink LOs so I was a bit excited that both my sisters were wearing pink in the photo!

Newer items include the doilies, some D-lish Scraps enamel dots, a Heidi Swap word sticker and the Doodlebug sequins - they come in such cute little jars. I got mine from The Scrapbook Store

The wish tag is off my new blazer - so good of them to supply such a scrappable price tag, the little velum pocket came in the kit with the papers.

I hope you'll have a go at the challenge too. I can't wait to see what you come up with - don't forget your handmade item! Visit the SUYS blog to link up your creation.

Have a great month.

There's still time!

Good morning Saturday scrappers - I hope you've got a fabulous weekend planned. Only a few days in the month left so I thought I'd offer you a little inspiration to kick start your scrappy session.

The SUYS June challenge is a recipe:

At least one hand made item.
A sprinkling of stars
A dash of sequins
A title that includes at least 2 different types of alpha stickers
3 buttons/flair
2 photos
1 arrow

Here's my baking:

I'm not much of a baker - I don't mind cooking but I tend to leave the baking to Zoe - and now I know why! The first time I did this challenge, I carefully followed the instructions but not carefully enough - I added one photo instead of two so, it was back to the scrappy kitchen for another go! Here's that first LO :)

The photos on both LOs were taken at Timbertown during our holiday to Port Macquarie. We had a fun day out soaking up a bit of pioneer history.

* I've neglected this blog for so long that even my most loyal visitors have disappeared - oh dear! Let's just call this post a cooee into the wide blue.

Come cybercropping with this slack blogger!

Hello - long time past and all that - welcome back!

Come and join me for a fabulous cybercrop at Scrapbooking Top 50 - love these ccs, always great challenges and lots of fun to be had.

And while I'm talking about SB Top 50 here's my take on the latest sketch - this one was a little beauty -  my LO just fell into place. This is my daughter and my sister's dog - sharing a little love :)

And here's a couple of close ups - be impressed - I never remember to take these!

I had a lot of fun creating the layers on this page, which I promptly covered over with another layer...

Thanks for stopping by, hope to see you at the SB Top 50 cc :)

SUYS April Update

I'm running a little behind with my SUYS design sample - obviously I've been out and about having too much fun!

Anyway, this month's challenge is a beauty, it uses this fabulous photo as inspiration:

And here's how I interpreted it. I used the colours, circles and layers. My handmade items are a Charms Creation and a Studio Fourteen40 flair.

Can't wait to see what you create with the cake :)

Also the ever-fabulous Sue Plumb has given the SUYS blog a make over. Check it out! See my cool new badge?

Top 50 April Sketch

Chloe created a great sketch this month over at Scrapbooking Top 50. I love it when a LO just comes together. I had a lot of fun pulling out some of my older My Vintage Blossoms embellies and adding some newer bits and bobs.

My journalling is on the hello tab - this pair are still inseparable - a regular mutual admiration society - both as reckless and fun loving as the other.

Scrap the Girls

It's been ages since I played along at Scrap the Girls but this month's challenge caught my eye: scrapbook your girls using traditional boy colour schemes and some "boyish" embellishments!!!Remember no boys allowed, just boy stuff!!

Here's what I came up with:

Thanks to the end of daylight savings, I had a peaceful hour to myself this morning to create this. I started off with some gesso and added some stamping, rub ons, washi tape, dylusionals and grungeboard. I softened the overall effect with some tissue paper, brads and sequins - Zoe loved it, further proof she's not the super-girly type :)
